Pacific Sunlight by Camille Robiou du Pont
Camille Robiou du Pont is a french born photographer and filmmaker. She has been based in Asia for the last 8 years and found her home on a small island in the Philippines since 2016.
She has always been fascinated about women and their relationship with the ocean, and how it helps them to highlight female’s confidence, beauty and freedom.
This short visual poem is simply an honour to the movement of water, the light and the particular feminity that this settings allow to explore.
PACIFIC SUNLIGHT

I am the early morning dew
She is the mist before it rains
I call her name from above the clouds
And ask her
To stay
She moves through the grass
Like a bright liquid sun
I wait for her, beneath the earth
And in the ocean, we are one
She knows she was born for land
But in her veins flows the sea
And in all her dreams she spends
Floating slowly
Back to me
The mountains call her back each day
And to land she must return
So I wait for her again
I must wait until she learns
That all water will find a way
To use the trees to touch the sky
We are made of water
She is rain and I am life
And what is made of water
Can never die
