Swimmers Eye View by Genevieve Ackland
I first started taking film photos about 8 years ago, and my digital camera has grown dust ever since. I love the challenge film brings me, and the surprise of the images, when I pick up my film developments it kinda feels like I'm getting a letter back from Santa in the mail.

I got a Nikonos V, a waterproof film camera, about 6 months ago, tried it out at Ocean Grove one time, then took it to Europe on my travels. I spent a lot of time swimming. I love swimming, and I love film photography, so the nikonos camera is really my jam. I feel completely unstoppable with this beast; rain, oceans, surf, snow... The safe boundaries of where a camera can go got blurred, and nothing can hold me back now. I haven't yet mastered the skill of surfing whilst carrying the camera, but like I said, I love a challenge.

This series is a Swimmers Eye View, and features photos from Biarritz and Agde in France, Cinque Terre in Italy, Costa Brava in Spain, Ocean Grove down the Surf Coast and our very own Williamstown here in Melbourne.
