Hello! A huge thanks to the Surf Visuals team for the opportunity to share some of my work. A Graphic Designer/Art Director by trade, photography is my passion – the blissful white space around the old nine to five.

 

My approach to photography has always been to keep it simple. An uncomplicated pleasure, capturing moments that pique my interest.

 

Minimal landscapes, rugged and sparse environments, and humble human moments from the everyday constantly draw me in. It’s the surf and our coastline, the crashing sound of waves and eye-squinting sunshine which pull me most. I’ve been lucky to log some long hours on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula and Queensland’s Sunshine Coast over recent years. Two strikingly different environments with unique kinds of coastal magic. 

 

The raw energy of the mighty Bass Strait, its ruthless tides ripping into the reef on an unforgiving winter’s day, or those hypnotic sunrise rollers in mid-summer, bringing with them the promise of a blistering forty-degree day. Up north, the warm turquoise waters of theSunny coast, speckled with surfers enjoying their after work wind-down. Add to it the understated sleepy approach to life that wraps itself around you…gets me every time.
