Southern Costa Rica by Silvia Yom
The pacific coast of Southern Costa Rica has been a special place for me since my first visit three years ago. As a surfer and artist, it quickly became my favourite slice of paradise for its long point breaks, dirt roads, friendly locals, and endless views and sounds of the jungle... It is my safe haven, a source of constant inspiration, and a place where I’ve made some of my dearest friends working as a photographer for Surf With Amigas.

In mid-January, I took a break from the cold waters of San Francisco and travelled to Costa Rica for a month to kick start the year. After road tripping through the wildly beautiful coastline, it was still clear to me that the southern tip was my favourite part of the country.

Pictured: The ladies catching a few waves of their own in-between surf coaching for SWA - a fine line between work and play. It's easy to see their joy through these shots and I am endlessly inspired by the friends I meet who pave a path true to themselves. I think their smiles prove it all. This is Pura Vida. The simple life. A life to love and enjoy.
