Creativity and Adversity by Jack Davis
My name is Jack Noel Davis, I'm a photographer from the South Coast NSW.
We find ourselves in strange times, facing a concurrent health and economic crisis.
Between Worlds by Vitor Viana
Sometimes I catch myself thinking why we as humans believe in things as if they were real while “not real” things are everywhere and could be more real than we actually think.
From Where I Come From by Giulio Pascucci
Some people might say that the best waves are on the opposite side of the world... I would say “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. So yeah, beauty. It’s something that doesn’t exist on its own, but it’s created by you and it’s deeper than it looks.
Through This Lens by Levi Deliveyne
I have been shooting film for quite some time, finding myself quickly falling in love with its aesthetic and the meticulous process that is rewarded with a captured moment, a still frame of our increasingly fast moving time.
2019 PHOTO COMP WINNERS
Over 430 individual entrants across the six categories made our task even more difficult. Day-by-day, we created a shortlist of favourites as they hit our inbox. The same question kept blurting in our brains, “how are we going to choose the winners?”
2019 PHOTO COMP - WEEK 3 EPICS
Another week of the 2019 #SVPHOTOCOMP has come and gone, and we’d like to share with you some more images that have caught our attention in the past 7 days.

We’re at the halfway mark of the 2019 #SVPHOTOCOMP and things are really starting to heat up. We’ve selected some images that have caught our attention in the second week of the comp, the talent pool is crazy.
2019 PHOTO COMP - WEEK ONE EPICS
Wowee, where do I start. Every year this photo comp gets bigger and bigger, the talent pool in the SV community is incredible. You should all be very proud.
The Lure Of The Sea by Bogo Bug
Having grown up landlocked with the nearest shoreline at a considerable distance I guess my introduction to saltwatery spheres, coastal culture, oceanic occultism and the infinite joys of the sea can hardly be called an intuitive act.
Ocean Lovers by Marcel Boer
I am Marcel Boer, Film photographer from Cologne, Germany. I might be addicted to this surf culture in case of the fact that I love skateboarding and we are just surfers as will right, but with 4 wheels on the street.
Behind The Shaper Exhibition
Wow. What a night it was on 24th May in Melbourne at 524 Flinders. We held our very first exhibition with URBNSURF - Behind The Shaper. Tickets were sold out and the venue was at a 400 strong capacity. We had $5 beers from the legends at Noble Boy Beer as well as hangover cure Bae Juice being given out to all attendees to ward off those nasty Saturday morning hangovers. Tunes were pumping thanks to legend DJ Tim Koren, who well and truly got the dance floor heaving.
Mirian by Emy Dossett
I first noticed Mirian’s graceful style when I was out photographing early one morning in Sayulita. She glided past me on her beautiful turquoise board, dancing around in the waves. I immediately became mesmerised with capturing her in the glistening sun as it bounced around her.
No Way Equinor by Desfura / Hayden O'Neill
On Sunday the 24th of March, people power was in great numbers on the shores of St Kilda as hundreds turned out to say NO to Equinor's proposal to drill in the Great Australian Bight.
Mi Vida Mexicana by Emy Dossett
It’s a burst of colour in random moments. With vivid sunsets etched into the back of your eyeballs with fire laced skies.
