When The Sea Calls by Grace Remke
who are you?
when, like a cacophonous symphony of waves crashing into the ever-wanting shore,
your own world similarly collides beautifully into mine.
your fire’s fanning flame alights the often unattended garden of my own heart,
pulling out the weeds that have sprung from my own deepest darkest shadows.
but really,
who are you?
when the waves’ symphony becomes too loud.
and all i can think to do is run to the sea as my savior,
to drown out how drunk I feel on you.
