Experimental Rollercoaster by Matthew O'Dwyer
My name is Matthew O'Dwyer, I’m originally from Melbourne but currently living in Torquay.
I’ve been shooting seriously for about a year now and its been an experimental rollercoaster trying to teach myself how to use an analogue camera and get the right effects I'm after. I figured it would be much nicer to teach myself than to be taught in someone else's way. Taking photos was something I wanted to do for my own creative satisfaction. I've found that taking photos helps deal with stress and it's a great way for me to express myself. I’ve been trying to capture the beauty that people might not see or that is less obvious. Surfing as a whole was something that had been missing in my life.
I'm usually shooting film with a zoom lens and currently using a 600mm.
