My Two Loves by Nuno Santos

My Two Loves by Nuno Santos

My name is Nuno Santos, I'm from Portugal and I'm 42 years old. The love of surfing appeard when I was 13 years old, where I could spend hours in the water with my friends surfing, later on I fall in love for photography.

Experimental Rollercoaster by Matthew O'Dwyer

Experimental Rollercoaster by Matthew O'Dwyer

I’ve been shooting seriously for about a year now and its been an experimental rollercoaster trying to teach myself how to use an analogue camera and get the right effects I'm after. I figured it would be much nicer to teach myself than to be taught in someone else's way.

Why I Shoot by Fanny Klumper

Why I Shoot by Fanny Klumper

I shoot because it challenges me creatively.
I shoot because it challenges me physically.
I shoot because it gets fucking scary at times.

Refined Sugar by Adriana Beach

Refined Sugar by Adriana Beach

I got my first film camera when I was 17, I was working at a little vintage shop in Fremantle, Australia. My boss told me I could pick just one thing from the shop as my Christmas present and I knew straight away my best friend for the summer was going to be the little red and black Canon AF-50 in the window.

Blessed by Willie Kessel

Blessed by Willie Kessel

I don't know where I start tying to describe my work. Art is such a subjective thing….I shoot and I leave the rest to whom ever wants to look, hopefully it moves someone.

My Chemical Reactions by Todd Weaver

My Chemical Reactions by Todd Weaver

I’m Todd Weaver. I live in Los Angeles in the Echo Park neighborhood, 26 miles away from my regular surf spot First Point (Surfrider). I started surfing only 4 years ago and shooting it for about 3. I started doing color experiments about 2 years or so ago. I fog (expose it using a method I like to keep secret) each roll of film prior to shooting it.

Ocean Lovers by Marcel Boer

Ocean Lovers by Marcel Boer

I am Marcel Boer, Film photographer from Cologne, Germany. I might be addicted to this surf culture in case of the fact that I love skateboarding and we are just surfers as will right, but with 4 wheels on the street.

Six Hours by Thomas Bourget

Six Hours by Thomas Bourget

I was born and raised in Quebec City, Canada. I've been shooting surf photography for about a year now. Because there is no surf in Quebec City, I don't often have the opportunity to shoot in the water; the closest break is in Maine.

Baked Dinner by Jesse Landrigan

Baked Dinner by Jesse Landrigan

I had a friend describe my photography as a ‘baked dinner’ recently. In his words, “Your photography is like a baked dinner, it’s really homely you know, just hanging with your mates and stuff.” I’ve never had someone describe my photography before and I think his depiction is pretty accurate.

Single Fin Mingle 2019 by Casey Ripper

Thick clouds line the mountain silhouettes as first light slips through a gap in the frosty mist.
Rays of pink & red soaring across the plains illuminating Aotearoa’s highest peak.
Halfway into our 450km into our journey to the Mingle, we’re treated to a vivid sunrise over Aoraki - Mount Cook.

Behind The Shaper Exhibition

Behind The Shaper Exhibition

Wow. What a night it was on 24th May in Melbourne at 524 Flinders. We held our very first exhibition with URBNSURF - Behind The Shaper. Tickets were sold out and the venue was at a 400 strong capacity. We had $5 beers from the legends at Noble Boy Beer as well as hangover cure Bae Juice being given out to all attendees to ward off those nasty Saturday morning hangovers. Tunes were pumping thanks to legend DJ Tim Koren, who well and truly got the dance floor heaving.

A Jan Juc Diary by Lisa Geue

A Jan Juc Diary by Lisa Geue

What was I thinking moving to a small town where I didn’t know a single soul?
Since I got here my laptop crashed, my phone broke and my camera fell on concrete. I can barely pay my rent and now winter is coming and the sun is leaving us with darkness…

When The Sea Calls by Grace Remke

When The Sea Calls by Grace Remke

who are you?
when, like a cacophonous symphony of waves crashing into the ever-wanting shore,
your own world similarly collides beautifully into mine.

Summer Surf Series by Brook McKeon

Summer Surf Series by Brook McKeon

All the pics are in Victoria and have something to do with surfing, but I was also trying to make a bit of a documentation of what these locations were like in the summer of 2018/19 as the changing world is making the sharing of locations easier and we are seeing special locations flocked to like never before, which will only continue..
